Theresa D. Metcalfe

profileDescription: Theresa D. Metcalfe is the tenacious, transformative founder of Strong & Fearless Network. Theresa is the author of The Pink Phoenix: A Strong and Fearless Win Over Cancer…Twice!, a book that details both hers and her loved ones experience with breast cancer. Theresa is also the creator of the book Strong and Fearless: Elevating, Motivating, and Encouraging Breast Cancer Survivors and Their Co-Survivors, which is an anthology that explores the journey of other resilient women's journey with breast cancer. 

Theresa holds a BA in English Education, a MA in School Leadership, and a MA in Human Services Administration. As a young girl, Theresa always wanted to be a teacher, but after over 10 years in the classroom, life took her in a different direction and she began working as a social worker in various capacities for the State of Illinois and other nonprofit and community organizations. 

Theresa’s goal of helping others motivated her to create Phoenix Survivor Network (PSN), an organization that focused on support and advocacy for individuals diagnosed with breast cancer before the age of 40. Theresa’s life experiences has lead her to transform and elevate Phoenix Survivor Network to Strong and Fearless Network so she can empower, encourage, and assist not only younger breast cancer patients but warriors of pancreatic and prostate cancer as well. No one has to walk these journeys alone!
